February Woods Work

We generated another 21 hours of service to our Grant & our woods last Saturday! It's coming along so beautifully. Three teams formed. Miles & Laurel addressed that front edge that's been so gnarly. Sen pitched in there too. Lots of cutting, whacking & hauling. George, Tori & Ken focused on the area uphill from the building. George will finish pruning that noble willow right at the beginning of the trail, next time. BEAR & Mary & Tracy whacked back brush, built piles & opened the space where the trail will go in months to come, down over the edge. Photos hardly do the effort justice but those of us who watched the sick, dead, compromised trees come down can see how much happier the ones left behind have become.
